About "Plan Guilin" 「桂林計画」について

About "Plan Guilin"

As some might already know, I have been in Guilin since a few days. In the end, I am just here as a tourist, but I had certain reasons to come here, and I am also looking for some specific scenery.

As a kid, I used to play a video-game called "Shenmue". It is a story about a Japanese martial artist seeking for revenge against the death of his father. It is a story with depth and it has been with me ever since I first played it. That being said, a major part of the game takes place in Guilin, and since the game is so realistic and detailed, there is many scenery that looks similar to the game, and there are probably also villages and sites that the game is based on. What I am going to try to achieve in Guilin is to find as many places like this as possible. Therefore, I have other plans than normal tourists would have and will also probably visit places that most won't. I have done some research for the last few days, and will start my adventure tomorrow morning.

I have created a poll for you all to suspect what will happen to me in Guilin, so please post an answer until November 26!

「桂林計画」について

僕が桂林へ来たわけを話そう。もちろん僕だって結局はただの観光客だが、僕の観光には特定の目的があり、桂林に関するブログを読んで行く前に、その目的を理解していただきたい。

子どもの頃、僕は「シェンムー」というテレビゲームに出会った。日本の武術家が、父親の仇を打つために中国へと旅立つゲームだが、その一部は桂林が舞台になっている。ゲームであるとはいえ、深いストーリーに子どもながら魅了され、大人になっても忘れられないままだった。いつか自分の足で桂林を探検してみたい、そう強く思った。

「シェンムー」とは極めてリアルなゲームで、世界が細部まで本物らしく表現されていることが特徴。桂林の山景色や川もとてもリアルで、遊んでいると本当にそこにいるような錯覚にとらわれる。実際の桂林にも、「シェンムー」の元になった村や自然があるはずだ。僕が桂林に来た目的は、それらを探し出すことである。そして、ここ数日はパソコンでいろいろと調べて、明朝からさっそく冒険に出る予定です。オタッキーな旅になりそうですが、どうかおつきあいください。

ちなにみ、僕が桂林でどんな出来事に出会うかをぜひ皆さんに推測していただきたいため、ポルを作成しました。英語ですが、１１月２６日までにぜひ答えを出してください。
